Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, aka She & Him, have paired again to work on a collection of their favorite songs which will be released as a 13-track covers album under the title of Classics. According to Deschanel, “it was a dream of ours to record these songs in a way that highlighted the brilliance of the songwriting and the beauty of their melodies”.
The duo left Merge Records, with whom they have been working for the last years, to join Columbia Records, their fifth LP Classics was recorded live with a 20-piece orchestra, and will see the light on December 2.
