Earlier today (June 24) it was reported that Irish singer, Sinéad O’Connor, had sent Chicago Police into a flurry after reportedly threatening to harm herself.

Initially, it had been reported that family member of O’Connor had alerted the police after receiving a phone call from the singer in which she stated that she was going to jump off of a bridge in the Chicago area. O’Connor has since taken to Facebook and set the record straight while simultaneously adding her voice to the political din that has gripped the world in the wake of the British EU referendum. Her post reads as follows:

“Anne Harris…. YOU JUST GOT F**KED BY GERRY ADAMS!
IRELAND IS OFFICIALLY NO LONGER OWNED BY BRITAIN!!!!
CONGRATS TO EVERY MAN, WOMAN AND CHILD WHO EVER DIED FOR THE CAUSE OF IRISH FREEDOM, AND ALSO TO ALL THOSE INCLUDING MYSELF, WHO HAVE BEEN PERSECUTED MERCILESSLY BY THE IRISH SO CALLED FREE-STATE FOR HAVING DECLARED SUPPORT FOR SINN FEIN AND THE REPUBLICAN MOVEMENT.
OUR DAY HAS COME !!!!!!!
(Oh and by the way it’s bulls**t I jumped off a bridge, some stupid b**ch up at Swords Garda station decided she’d like to throw a bit of false and malicious gossip about is all). AM FAR TOO F**KING HAPPY FOR THAT!!
IRELAND 4 ENGLAND 0!!!”
