75 years old and still going strong, Tom Jones has always been one of the leading entertainers in the music industry. After a spell on the voice and over 40 years in the business, Tom’s live shows and performances have always been a highlight. Sadly, his current tour of Asia has been cancelled due to a grave illness in Tom’s most immediate family.
A statement was released on the singer’s official website that explained Ton’s absence and thanked fans for their support. The dates cancelled originally included a few in the Philipines but have since been extended to cover the singer’s whole Asian leg of his most recent tour. He was set to visit Bangkok, Seoul, Tokyo and Osaka, amongst many high-profile venues. The identity of Tom’s seriously ill family member is unknown but some have speculated that his wife Linda Jones may have been taken into hospital. The star and his wife who have a one son, Mark, have expressed there need for privacy at this difficult time.
