Slovenian Duo Bad Lori Release New Single ‘Apocalypse’

The Slovenian musical duo, Bad Lori, has recently released their latest single, “Apocalypse,” which is also the first song from their upcoming album, Badtime. The track offers a dark and intriguing musical experience that is both provocative and engaging.

The eerie vocals by Alenja Pivko Kneevi give off a nostalgic and warm feeling, contrasting with the powerful guitar riffs and synthesized bass of the chorus.

The music video, produced by Pia Hoevar Muci, depicts a dystopian world featuring Bad Lori, the Artist (Aleksander Cavazza), Madame (Nevena Peclin), and Bodybuilder (Denis Usainovi). The video emphasizes the “approaching Apocalypse” with a percussion performance electronic rhythm.

Alenja Pivko Kneevi and Simon Penek are the two musicians behind Bad Lori, and they create dark pop music that they compose and produce themselves.

They work from their boutique studio, Studio Šiška, located in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The duo’s music is a well-produced brand of somber and slightly subversive pop with powerful lyrics. They have formal training as musicians and also compose music for movies.

Bad Lori was previously known as Bombyx Lori, but as their music evolved into a darker brand of pop, they decided to change their name to better represent their style. Early recordings had a more experimental trip-hop feel and were heavily influenced by their scholarly backgrounds.

With their new album, Badtime, on the horizon, Bad Lori’s unique blend of dark pop and haunting vocals is sure to captivate listeners. Apocalypse, their latest single, is a testament to the duo’s musical ability and their willingness to explore provocative themes.
