Smino‘s long-awaited follow up to his 2017 debut album blkswn is seemingly just around the corner. Having teased us with a video on social media to herald the announcement a few days ago, Smino has shared the official music video for the lead single “L.M.F.” — an abbreviation for “Lion Mustafa” and produced by frequent collaborator Sango.
The brand new video finds the 27-year-old returning to his hometown of St. Louis to celebrate his newfound success, among friends, family, and a pet monkey. You find him cruising around in a yellow car and partying with neighborhood friends. The new track is feel good, excitable and totally the warm-up we need before he drops his new album Noir, which is out November 8.
“Noir is a record about the present, about life now,” Smino told Billboard. “An experience that is far more complex and challenging.”
Following Noir‘s release, Smino will take to the stage at his third annual homecoming Kribmas show in St. Louis. The event will go down December 14 at The Pageant.
