Sony Moves Forward With ’23 Jump Street’ And ‘Men In Black’ Crossover Movie | Film News

According to reports at Variety.com, Sony is indeed planning the 23 Jump Street/Men In Black crossover movie. Director James Bobin, whose work includes The Muppets, is in talks to direct this potential crossover.

Bobin would be taking over from previous directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who are unable to helm the movie due to their commitments for the upcoming Han Solo movie they are directing for Disney.

22 Jump Street favourites Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, who play Schmidt and Jenko respectively, are set to reprise their roles while also taking on producer credits. The same cannot be said however for Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones, who will not be involved with the project, instead the studio wants to take on fresh faces to relaunch the franchise.

While no official statement has been announced at Sony,  this news comes with huge excitement and expectation for fans of both franchises.
