South African Rap Artist A-Reece Releases New Single ‘Morning Peace’ | Music News

Award-winning South-African rap artist and producer A-Reece just dropped a new single “Morning Peace” featuring singer Jody Jay. Behind the track, there are many inspirations as well as different musicals styles, with A-Reece proving his talents on a global scale.

Regarding the inspiration for this song, “Morning Peace”, shows A-Reece in a different position than his previous singles, which were more traditional rap tracks, this time the artist seemed to have given us a song with an honest and open-minded approach towards relationships.

He speaks to how time with your loved ones can be valuable, but he not only reflects on the the good side of love, but also discusses conflict and whether it is worth it, being in a love quarrel or just getting past that and spending more time with your other half.

According to A-Reece, “Morning Peace’ is about how you have your ups and downs in a relationship, and how you can get into a heated argument with your partner at any random time of the day, and it could be in the morning when you both just woke up […]

I would rather wake up feeling blessed than depressed – that was basically the whole concept behind ‘Morning Peace’, and as soon as I conceptualized that, I knew that Jay Jody was the perfect person to put on this because him and I always have conversations about this type of stuff“.

With rich synths, bass guitar arrangements, and a thumping bassline, over which A-Reece puts forward his melodic rap flow, songwriting, and the creation of captivating rap songs, as well as offering a completely different side of what the singer can make.

With only a few years of career behind him, the young A-Reece knows what he wants and where he will get it. At 19 years old, he became the youngest artist to win Lyricist of the Year at the South African Hip-Hop Awards, while also being nominated for Best Rap Album.

Along with releasing his new single, the South African star is also proud to announce the upcoming release of his long-awaited mixtape Today’s Tragedy, Tomorrow’s Memory, which will be released on March 26, in partnership with Platoon.
