South London Rapper OFFCOURSE Reveals New Single ‘Address That’ | Music News

Emerging British rapper OFFCOURSE has just dropped his brand new single “Address That“. The track was produced by GRM Daily Rated Awards nominee Adotskitz, who has previously worked with the likes of Stormzy, Skepta, and French Montana, to name a few.

“Address That” is a hard-hitting rap track driven by a heavy bassline, that sees OFFCOURSE approach the finer things in his life, while railing against some of the fake elements of the music industry. The artist has also released a music video accompanying the song, that was shot in Paris, the city in which he wrote the record.

The video features the rapper wandering in the French capital, but as he explains, he and his team “didn’t just want to show the typical Paris, we’ve all seen the Eiffel Tower before, so we thought we’d show you something completely different about the city”, according to him.

Speaking about the inspiration behind “Address That”, the rapper states: “when I was working with Adotskitz, we were initially going to create something a bit more traditional, with a catchy hook, but I wanted to try something a little less conventional“.

He adds: “the song structure on ‘Address That’, without any obvious hooks or choruses, is not very typical, and this is because I didn’t want think too much about trying to make a popular record, and I just wanted to go with the flow and let the music take me somewhere”.

OFFCOURSE has released several pieces prior to “Address That”, and is approaching the milestone of garnering his first million streams, thanks to powerful tracks like “My Gang”, “Still Here” and “Beg Friend”. He is praised for his captivating lyricism and raw storytelling, resulting in honest and original songs, and “Address That” is no exception to the rule.
