Legendary film director Spike Lee is set to direct upcoming US comedian Jerrod Carmichael’s HBO stand-up show. Lee will direct Carmichael for the stand-up show produced by Funny Or Die. The Funny Or Die website has grown to become the place for celebrities to share their comedic flair on visual skits, which the public get to vote on. Those deemed funny stay on the website while those that are not, end up being removed from the site. Upcoming comedian Carmichael is perhaps best known for writing the Odd Future show Loiter Squad on the Adult Swim network, which is known for broadcasting The Boondocks. He will next appear on-screen in the film Bad Neighbours featuring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. The HBO stand-up comedy special will be filmed at The Comedy Store on May 7.
