‘Spring Breakers’ Is Getting A Sequel | Film News
It has been announced that a Spring Breakers sequel is being considered with production company Wild Bunch on board. The first film saw three friends (Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine) rob a convenience store so they and their innocent friend (Selena Gomez) could go to Spring Break. They meet gangster and wannabe rapper James Franco who gets them involved in a gun-fuelled battle over drug territory. The sequel promises to be just as dramatic and action filled as Spring Breakers: The Second Coming will see bikini-clad girls fighting against an extreme Christian group who tries to recruit them. The script is written by Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting) and directed by Jonas Akerlund.
