It’s time to get excited. With filming for Star Wars: Episode VIII underway, new set photos have been revealed giving us the first glimpse into a galaxy far, far away… Directed by Rian Johnson, the majority of filming will happen in the UK, but the photos below were actually taken in Dubrovnik, Croatia; where shooting is currently commencing.

In a few images, we can see what appears to be new (and rather well dressed) aliens. Are they good or bad? Who knows. There are also photos revealing a mysterious spaceship and two new female characters, one dressed head-to-toe in black and the other in a flowing white dress, irritatingly we cannot tell who they are!

Those set to return for the eighth installment include: Daisy Ridely (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Carrie Fisher (General Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Sywalker) and Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma). We can also assume that Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke) will also be returning. See the images below and catch Episode VIII in December 2017.
