Stella McCartney Ends 17-Year Partnership With Kering | Fashion News

After official announcements were released from both sides, it has been confirmed that British designer Stella McCartney is getting back the 50% of her brand name after 17 years of collaboration with the french luxury brands group Kering. What a bold move! British Fashion Week hopes and is more than ready now to bring the brand’s show back to London.

McCartney states that she is definitely certain and confident to take full control of her brand and she feels so excited to see what her team is ready to achieve in the near future. Of course, she never neglected to indicate how much she appreciates those 17 years of creativeness and success as member of the Kering group. At the same time, Kering’s chief executive points out that he will absolutely support her promising new steps.

“It is the right time for Stella to move to the next stage,” Kering Chairman and CEO Francois-Henri Pinault said in the statement.

“Kering is a luxury group that empowers creative minds and helps disruptive ideas become reality. I am extremely proud of what Kering and Stella McCartney have accomplished together since 2001. I would like to thank Stella and her team wholeheartedly for everything they have brought to Kering – far beyond business. Stella knows she can always count on my friendship and support.”

We wish our beloved British fashion designer all the best to this new chapter of her life and close the article with a quote said by her.
