Steve Carell & John Krasinski To Reunite For Paramount Family Movie ‘If’

For the first time since starring together in The Office, Steve Carell and John Krasinski will reunite on-screen in Paramount’s new family film, If.

Krasinski will write, direct, and star in the film, with Carell joining the previously announced Ryan Reynolds, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Fiona Shaw as a part of the supporting cast.

The official synopsis has yet to be revealed, but we do know the story is based on Krasinski’s original idea about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. Krasinski will produce If through via his company Sunday Night with partners Allyson Seeger and Andrew Form. Reynolds will also produce via his company, Maximum Effort.

Since The Office concluded, Krasinski has reinvented himself as a director of A Quiet Place and its sequel.

Carrell has starred in Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, reunited with The Office creator Greg Daniels for Netflix sitcom Space Force, and starred in a number of films including Vice, Irresistible, and the Despicable Me movies.

If will obviously be a lot different from A Quiet Place, and it will be interesting to see what Krasinski can do with a completely different genre. Fans will likely be keeping their eyes peeled for some Office easter eggs, too.

If is currently scheduled to be released on November 17th 2023, just before the Thanksgiving holiday.
