On December 17, Steve Grand was “jamming” in the basement until “All I Want For Christmas” began to materialise. This triggered the desire to do a Christmas song, so that’s what happened. By December 21 the song, plus a professional-looking music video, had been done and uploaded to the Internet. “It was a big challenge,” Grand recalled, “but it was also really really fun.”
The video shows Grand and actor Trevor LaPaglia doing Christmas activities together and being incredibly romantic. However, is their holiday love story all that it seems? In terms of the song, Grand has ample opportunity to showcase a passionate voice, and the grand piano makes it feel warm and homely.
