It began as a small basement club in Shoreditch and went on to become one of London’s most important dance music destinations, renowned for its high profile residencies, including Theo Parrish. It was with a heavy heart then, that Plastic People decided to close its doors for the final time last weekend. The club’s final hurrah saw a B2B set from Four Tet and Floating Points, who have also held their own monthly residencies at the venue over the last five years. For those of us who were unable to attend the closing party, they have treated us to a recording of the mammoth six-hour set. The set includes a selection of some of their own tracks, along with a brilliantly eclectic mix of disco, soul and techno, with a smattering of hip-hop for good measure. Listen to Floating Points and Four Tet’s set here.
