‘Supergirl’ Renewed For A Second Season | TV News
It seems like CBS has a lot of hope for their Girl of Steel Adaptation featuring Melissa Benoist, as the company has recently announced its renewal for a second season.
The announcement came following comments made by CEO Les Moonves (via Dealine) in which he suggested that they will be renewing five of their shows that debuted this year.
While speaking at the Deutsche Bank Media, Internet & Telecom Conference, Moonves has said:
“We have about five new shows on this year, of those five all of them will be renewed, and we own four of them”
This seems slightly complicated, as so far the company has cancelled one of its own shows Angel From Hell, but are currently planning for the release of Rush Hour and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders for Spring.
Despite a rocky start, Supergirl has maintained a somewhat notable presence on television. So far the show is currently making preparations with its upcoming Flash/Supergirl crossover, which would hopefully help the show receive the recognition it deserves.
