Sydney Band BoomChild Release New Single ‘Cold Shoulders’ | Music News

After the release of “Every Little Things” at the end of 2019, Sydney band BoomChild are back with a new sound, “Cold Shoulders”! The group is composed of rappers and singers Charbel and Rico, musicians Finbar on keyboards, Ben on drums, Riley on bass and James on guitar. They all have very different musical styles and met on Instagram.

Their different styles, either more urban, more soulful towards the beaches or more soothing towards the mountains, are combined to create a unique sound. This group of artists and friends have a common goal, to make music to give love and joy to people and bring them closer together.

They are inspired by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Kaytranada and Anderson Paak, and like to mix touches of RnB, electronica, hip hop, soul and funk into their music. They make music in their rooms and in studio, but also on stage with many sold-out concerts and opening acts for big Australian bands.

The track “Cold Shoulders” features the vocals of Maina Doe, RISSA and Ms Thandi and the voices of Rico and Charbel. They worked on this track in the BoomHouse, where they invite artists, make concerts or collaborations.
