SZA Teases New Album Featuring Justin Timberlake And Brockhampton | Music News

In a recent interview with Kerwin Frost, a day after a recording session, SZA has announced that her new album is coming “soon as f**k”. “I’m loving what I’m making right now”, she added.

The singer also revealed that the follow-up to her 2017 debut Ctrl will feature some exciting guest appearances, as she has recently been in the studio with Justin Timberlake, Post Malone, Jack Antonoff and Brockhampton.

Speaking about her collaboration with the famous 2000s R&B star, SZA admitted she didn’t know they were on the same label until the day before. “And he was like, ‘I wanna work with you’ and I was like, ‘Why?’ And he was like, ‘Shut up, let’s just make stuff’. And we did and it was really great”.

SZA added that in the beginning, she didn’t feel confident about working with Justin, but they started getting along as their work progressed. “When I heard his music and we started singing together and the harmonies and the note choices that we were finding together, it’s like, ‘Oh, we speak the same language'”, she said.

In her discussion with Kerwin Frost, SZA hinted that her long-awaited sophomore album might be just as intimate as the critically acclaimed Ctrl. “This next album is even more of me being less afraid”, she said.
