TAPES – Tried To | New Music
Remixes can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but US musician/producer TAPES has nailed it with this new track “Tried To”. Taken from his latest EP Songs to Drake Up To, “Tried To” samples the Drake song “Take Care” which features Rihanna, turning it into this chopped and screwed, upbeat yet slightly haunting remix. Inspired by a personal break up, Songs to Drake Up To is the third EP from the Columbus, Ohio native TAPES. If you like this ethereal, Electronic Hip-Hop/Chill-Wave type of sound, then it’s worth checking out the other tracks on the EP that are much more laidback and subtle.
