Taylor Swift To Receive Innovator Award At 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Taylor Swift will receive the iHeartRadio Innovator 2023 Award at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, which will be televised live on Monday, March 27 from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Innovator Award is given to an artist who has “influenced global pop culture throughout their career”. Past winners include Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, U2 and Alicia Keys.

Along with her musical accomplishments, Swift is also “an activist for women’s rights and the LGBTQ+ community, utilising her songs and platform to motivate young people to exercise their right to vote,” according to a statement from iHeart.

Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar, Muni Long, Cody Johnson, Coldplay, and Pink, who won the Icon Award this year, are also participating.

In acknowledgment of their “impact on pop culture, longevity, and continued relevance as a touring and radio force with a loyal fan base worldwide“, P!nk will also be given the 2023 iHeartRadio Icon Award. Bon Jovi, Elton John, and Jennifer Lopez have all won the award before her.

Of course, Swift and P!nk have won enough trophies to fill a warehouse. Both of them have several Grammy victories (12 for Swift and 3 for P!nk). The Woman of the Year award from Billboard has been given to both (Swift has received it twice). At the Brit Honors, both were given honorary awards.
