2018 has been a great year so far for Dua Lip: 5 nominations at the BRIT Awards (a record), a single with Calvin Harris (“One Kiss“) and a stunning performance at the UEFA Champions League Final in Kiev back in May.
She is currently on tour in the US but yesterday night she had to stop the show in Denver after just three songs, due to strong ear pain. She walked off the stage in tears and left the fans worried.
As she explained and apologized with a long tweet later, where she attributes the abrupt show to an ear infection and she couldn’t force that. She promised a quick rescheduling and invites the audience of yesterday night at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium to hold on the tickets because she will be back soon.
Already a world famous singer at the tender age of 22, she is also a model and established songwriter. Dua is from London but has Albanian origins, and her first name means “love” in Albanian.
According to her socials, she’s working on a second album at the moment that will follow Dua Lipa, which was released last summer and includes some her most popular hits, like the classical “Be The One“, “Hotter Than Hell“, the successful “IDGAF” and “New Rules“.
She sings about rising above and self-empowerment, so this impediment won’t let her down for sure!
