The Anchoress, London based artist Catherine Anne Davies, just released her video for the title track off her newest EP, One For Sorrow, which is set to be released on November 3 via Hiraeth/PIAS. This video is full of substance and interest, as it depicts many vintage clips of the woman’s stereotypical domestic role in the home as mother, wife, and caregiver. The lyrics reflect this message of woman empowerment as the hook of “One for Sorrow” states, “you will only fail if you measure up your life against a fairy tale”.
