In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of his debut album Love Hate, The-Dream celebrates in good fashion by releasing some new music to the world. The new song, titled “It’s Yo Birthday” dropped yesterday via his Soundcloud page and is likely to be released properly through his imprint, Radio Killa Records.
The singer/songwriter and producer, who’s worked with all the big names in music, pulled out all the stops for this one; it’s really reminiscent of early 2000’s R&B and his sultry vocals definitely make the song what it is. While the song was released on the birthday of his debut album and titled respectively, just like many of his famous songs, the song is not so innocent in terms of subject.
The-Dream also alluded to an upcoming project called Sextape Vol. 1 on his Instagram but as of yet there is no set release date.
