Rated Awards 2016 27.07.2016ANDREW

The KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards are awarding the best in British urban music for a second year, with this year’s ceremony taking place at Camden, London’s iconic Roundhouse on Wednesday, September 7. The KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards are one of the only award ceremonies that lets the fans decide the winners on the night.

With this very much in the people’s hands, it arguably gives best credit to those in the British urban music scene who deserve it. Voting opens on Monday, August 1 via here. The awards, launched last year, were founded by GRM Daily and founding partner, KA Drinks. Over the last three years, KA Drinks has been helping to empower the UK grime scene.

They have worked with artists such as Ghetts, Lady Leshurr and Paigey Cakey in 2012, to supporting up-and-coming artists in their yearly Get Rated competition. As cofounder of the Rated Awards, KA has helped create a platform to celebrate the best of urban music, and are building a brand that will help to inspire the next generation of grime talent.

This year the Best Track category is in association with BBC’s 1Xtra, voting will take place here, to be launched in August alongside the highly anticipated Best Album category, with more details to follow.
