Latitude Festival has announced this year’s headliners, The Maccabees. It is The Maccabees first stint headlining a major UK festival. They are joined by The National and New Order. The National have been in the studio working on the follow-up to 2013’s Trouble Will Find Me. This is set to be their only UK festival appearance of the year. New Order are in promotion mode, following the release of Music Complete. BBC 6 Music also announced M83, CHVRCHES, Of Monsters and Men and Michael Kiwanuka as, amongst others, part of this year’s festival. It takes place from Thursday, July 14 to Sunday, July 17.

The Maccabees’ Felix White revealed: “It feels like Latitude is gonna be the culmination of – not just this year, but – almost the entire fourteen years of our band. That’s not to put too much pressure on that particular moment, but it does kinda feel like, as I say, a bit of a conclusion up until this point for us. It feels kinda fantastic to be honest! I don’t really know how else to put it”.
