The Maccabees Announce First Headline Concert Of 2014 | Music News

Indie rock band The Maccabees have announced their first headline gig of 2014. The London outfit have revealed via Twitter their plans to play at O2 Academy Liverpool on the 15th of November in support of their untitled forthcoming album following 2012’s Given To The Wild. The upcoming album is hopefully set for a release date of October/ November time, despite previous rumours of it being finished at the beginning of this year.

The band has stated to NME that, “we started the record at the beginning of 2013. We went into the studio with the idea that it was going to be finished by now. And we’ve finished two songs. We’ve got a lot of songs but every time you write something new, it raises the standard”. So if anything, it looks as if the boys have got something extra special in mind for this much anticipated release. Purchase tickets for The Maccabees headline show here, when they go on sale on Friday (October 3).
