‘The Neon Demon’ Is ‘Valley Of The Dolls’ Meets ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Says Cliff Martinez | Film News
With his Ultraviolent style and electric eighties scores Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive) has carved a bloody path through the film industry and turned violent men into a Hollywood commodity, now it would seem it’s the women’s turn as the outspoken director heads up the female dominated cast of The Neon Demon.
The film follows an aspiring model (Elle Fanning) who moves to Los Angeles, where her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will go to any lengths to get what she has. The film was brought by Amazon last year and is slated to come out sometime in late 2016.
