‘The Omen’ Prequel In The Works | Film News
Damien is the first thing you think about when you think of Richard Donner‘s 1976 film, The Omen. However, it has been reported that 20th Century Fox are creating an imagining of The Omen before Damien – in the form of a prequel, titled The First Omen.
It’s not surprising that Donner’s horror classic is to be used as inspiration for a prequel, as it has gained quite a lot of attention since its’ release for creatives – such as the 2006 John Moore remake, and the current running A&E TV adaptation, Damien.
Antonio Campos is currently in negotiations to direct The First Omen, and will work alongside David Goyer who is set to produce via Phantom Four. The script has already been penned by Ben Jacoby, yet no plot details have been released as of yet.
