A special edition of The One Show was watched by 6m people last night, 1.5m more than usual. Featuring contributions from Chris Evans and Graham Norton it matched the shows special covering of the FA Cup Draw.

It made joint-sixth on the most watched show of the day alongside forensic crime drama series Silent Witness, only beaten by the BBC Regional News and soaps EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

The show featured appearances from Evans – who replaced Wogan as host of the Radio 2 Breakfast Show in 2010, and Norton who took over coverage of Eurovision following the veteran broadcaster’s stepping down from the role in 2008. Alan Dedicoat and presenter Lynn Bowles – who worked alongside Wogan on Wake Up to Wogan also appeared on the programme.
