The Script For ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Is Complete | Film News

I’ve got some exciting news for all us Guardians of the Galaxy fans, the script is now officially complete. The film doesn’t hit cinemas until 2017, so we’ll have to wait a while for all the cool stuff like the concept art, new cast members, behind-the-scene pics, posters, teasers and so on. But that just makes us appreciate this piece of news even more. It’s basically gold.

The news comes to us via director James Gunn himself. He confirmed the completion of the script on his official Facebook page, adding that it’s still a draft but that it’s ready to be sent out to the cast. If you’re wondering why Bradley Cooper and Karen Gillan are absent, don’t worry, it’s not because they aren’t on board. It’s simply because they’re not on Facebook.

So what will the next film be about? Not much is known, but there are reports saying that it will center on Star Lord’s search for his father. Gunn and the Marvel team are currently eyeing Kurt Russell for the part, which would be very exciting! Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but with production set to begin in Atlanta next month – we’ll probably be hearing some casting news very soon.

Coming to you presently, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista (Batista), Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Vin Diesel.
