‘The Tick’ Returns To Our Screens As Amazon Commissions Pilot | TV News
Talk around the reboot of The Tick, Ben Edlund’s satirical comic book character has been going on for about a year now, Digitalspy reporting that Amazon was interested in reviving teh show with Patrick Warburton to star and Edlund returning to write and executive produce the show.
Today Deadline has reported that two out of the three of the above statements are true, Amazon having commissioned a pilot of the show, with Edlund writing and executive producing the show however Warburton will not be starring due to prior commitments of him being on NBC’s Crowded, a search for new lead already underway.
Already in the cast is Griffin Newman, who is set to play Arthur – The Tick’s assistant and Valorie Curry has been cast as Dot.
