The Weeknd And Ariana Grande Top Billboard Singles Chart With ‘Save Your Tears (Remix)’ | Music News

The Weeknd and Ariana Grande dropped their “Save Your Tears (Remix)” song and visuals a week ago and have already hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

The beginning of the song is in the same vein as the original version and then Ariana comes strong on the production, but with her own lyrics and at the end, both The Weeknd and Ariana sing the chorus together into a bright blend.

The music video is an animation in a completely different world where we can see The Weeeknd famously wearing his extra large sun glasses, and contrasting the song beat, which sounds like 60’s style, with a futuristic visuals of a scientist building a real size Ariana Grande doll, with what looked like innovative machines and at the end, they are both united.

The Weeknd and Ariana Grande have both landed their sixth number 1 single in the US. For The Weeknd, his previous #1 singles include “Blinding Lights” in 2020, “Heartless” in 2019, “Starboy” with Draft Punk in 2017 and “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face” in 2015, while Ariana Grande has taken the top spot with “Positions”, “Rain on Me” with Lady Gaga and “Stuck With U” with Justin Bieber in 2020, “7 Rings” in 2019 and “thank u, next” in 2018.

Adding more excitement to the mix, The Weeknd’s After Hours is the first album since Drake‘s Scorpion to release three number 1 singles from the same record. It also is one of the few special projects to lead the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in three distinct years.
