The four-piece band Samoaja released their first album Landscapes back in November 2017 and with it, reached over 150,000 listeners on Spotify alone! They performed in over 180 shows in 15 different countries.
Now they have started the new year with their new single “Their Sons And Daughters” which is taken from their upcoming second album, which will be released this spring.
So be excited, because this single gets under your skin. With its unique vibes, the band manages to create an escape from the hectic and frantic city to the quiet and calm wilderness. The four members call this mix “Landscape Pop” because it mixes different Nordic styles together.
However, this modern folk song takes their listeners to a journey through the deep wilderness with its infinite width, mountains and valleys, rivers, oceans and deserts. The song gives the impression of freedom, peace and nature while on the other side there is loneliness and danger.
Moreover, the recipient gains the feeling something is going to start, something big and that he and she have to go, go ahead, out of the city, of their minds, into nature. It feels scary and is exciting at the same time while loneliness not indicates, that you are alone.
