There’s ‘Room’ For Improvement | Film Review

Room, a drama featuring Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay is nominated for 4 Oscars this year, including Best Motion Picture of the Year – Ed Guiney & Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role – Brie Larson.

What is there to say about this film? Well, it has an 8.3 out of 10 rating on IMDB, meaning some people regard it as a good one. The acting is shocking and weird on most of the scenes, with Larson playing a role I hope I will never see her again in. The kid, Jacob Tremblay, complements Larson’s character, in order to make the story as dramatic as possible.

Just so I don’t spoil it for you (in case you want to watch this film) I’ll reveal just a synopsis: “After five-year-old Jack and his mother escape from the enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life, the boy makes a thrilling discovery”. The movie is above average, but it’s not worthy of an Oscar, in my opinion. I would give this film a rating of 6 out of 10. Room is out in the cinemas everywhere!
