A week after unveiling the video for “Put It Down”, TOKiMONSTA drops another new song. Entitled “Giving Up”, the song features contributions from The Drums’ Jonny Pierce and Lettuce’s Erick “Jesus” Coomes. The track is the latest from her forthcoming album Fovere, which comes out on Friday, March 4.
Previous singles from it include “I’m Waiting”. “Giving Up” features a seemingly monastery-esque chanted introduction, with some deep, melodic bass kicking in not long after. For a track that clocks almost only four minutes, there is a fair mash up of styles. The lyrics themselves seem rather abstract, which probably suits the multitude of styles on display.
