Toronto artist Tory Lanez takes a different tack from his current major single “LA Confidential”. For his latest effort, Tory Lanez links up with producer C-Sick for his new song entitled “Tim Duncan”. It starts with an off kilter and off tune melody played on loop, like a haunted carousel that moves of its own volition and never steps.
The vocals are a mix of singing and singsong rap, layered with a bit of autotune. An interesting and subdued section kicks in midpoint, slightly less manic than the song previous. The descending vocal hook at this point is actually quite melodious, and goes this way more or less until the end of the track.
