Trailer For ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Is A Thriller | TV Trailer

After just over a year since Season 1 arrived on Netflix, the first official trailer for Season 2 of Stranger Things has been released. Revealed at San Diego Comic Con, the trailer shows the gang dealing with the aftermath of Season 1, but a stronger entity appears to threaten the residents of Hawkins once again.

The trauma of the Upside Down seems to have taken a toll on Will Byers, played by Noah Schapp, who seems to take centre stage in the upcoming season, taking over from Millie Bobby Brown‘s pivotal role in the first season. After an ambiguously ending Season 1, the trailer shows hope for Brown’s character Eleven, who appears to break the boundaries of the two dimensions to return to Hawkins.

The trailer is packed full of 80s nostalgia; arcade games, Ghostbuster costumes, and Michael Jackson‘s “Thriller” which builds in the background, Vincent Price‘s eerie voice over echoing through the school halls.

The hype for Season 2 is validated by the clip, promising more critical recognition to add to the 18 Emmy nominations received by Season 1.

Stranger Things Season 2 premieres on Netflix October 27. Catch the trailer below.
