Ty Dolla $ign + Quavo – Long Time | New Music
West Coast Ty Dolla $ign is back, unveiling new work whilst gearing us up for the revamped version of his album, Free TC. It is slated for tomorrow (Friday, March 25). “Long Time” pairs him up with Quavo, and production duties handled by Metro Boomin.
It opens with an Eighties-esque synthesiser, creating a moody yet dreamy soundscape. It is actually quite relaxing and laidback. Then some rattling drum machine and autotune singing. Raps ride the flow expertly, but the lyrical content does not exactly reinvent the wheel. Bar wishing their friends to be released from their long time in prison, it is misogyny and sex.
