Ty Farris recently took a very brief hiatus in order to let his weekly tracks permeate. Instead of a new song last weekend, the Detroit emcee released his Alchemist Bars EP. This is a collection of recorded songs set to the tone of some big Alchemist beats. Ty connects with producer MTK for soulful effort, “Ain’t Rich”.
It begins with a super busy beat, one you could not easily imagine any rapper riding. The song proper, though, begins with a more laidback, though still arguably intense, instrumental. It is like spaced out soul. There are many layers going on, and it might take more than one listen to appreciate it in its entirety. Similar sentiments regarding the vocals, too.
