The world woke up in shock this morning to the tragic news of the terror attacks that occurred in Paris last night. In light of these horrific events, many musical and sporting events in the French capital have been cancelled, including a concert by Irish outfit U2.

The band were today due to film a live concert for HBO entitled iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Live in Paris. A statement read on the bands website read, “as a result of the ongoing state of emergency across France, the U2 Paris concert scheduled for 14th November will not be going ahead as planned“.

They go on to state that they “are fully resolved to go ahead with this show at an appropriate time“. “We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight“, read another statement from the band, a sentiment which we can all share.
