Billboard has reported that On December 5, U2 performed a tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks. During the performance they brought out Patti Smith to perform the songs “Gloria” and “People Have The Power”.

At their performance at the AccorHotels Arena, U2 performed in front a giant French flag composed of the names of the victims. Bono and Patti Smith recently performed this same set of songs in London. Since that time, Bono told the Irish Independent:

“We stand together with the families who lost their loved ones in Paris. We stand together with families in San Bernardino. We stand together with families in Beirut and Istanbul. We stand together before those with false ideologies of the god they serve.”
