London based 5-piece band Prime Panda are excited to share their new track titled “Almost”.
Taking influence from memorable artists such as Australian jazz funk band Hiatus Kaiyote, US rock legend Jimi Hendrix and neo-soul pioneer Erykah Badu, Prime Panda is a multi-talented band that are only starting on their journey.
Bringing their own touch to the buzzing UK neo-soul scene, Prime Panda share with the audience, a wave of jazz-infused chords, fat rhythms, powerful vocals with trippy and chaotic soundscapes.
During live shows, the listener is expected to go in a fascinating journey from soft soulful sounds to a psychedelic and chaotic onslaught.
Lately, their “Beyond The Sun” release has earn acknowledgement from independent sector champion Trust the Doc defining it as “a new wave of acid jazz” and Glasgow-based Podcart commenting it is “bringing new meaning to psychedelia and neo soul“.
Prime Panda is not taking a rest and is preparing plans to test some new sounds for the upcoming year.
Speaking about the new release, Prime Panda states “Almost is about the anxiety and insecurity of being under someone’s spell and how you can cope with that. Eventually, when the love you give isn’t given back you have to take control, realise your self worth and move on – no matter how close things get.”
