‘Venom’ Recruits ‘Child Of God’ Star Scott Haze | Film News
It now seems a daily occurrence to reveal casting news for Sony’s Venom, and here we are again. Scott Haze is the latest to join the project, joining the already announced Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate.
Ruben Fleischer‘s film is really beefing out.
Though we know that Hardy is playing Venom, no other roles have been revealed, Haze’s included. Who will villain Carnage is a mystery, and despite rumours it was Ahmed, Haze could easily also be in the running.
The Child of God star has a bunch of projects in line, with the aim of someone finally recognising his name. He’ll portray Charlie Chaplin in The Girl with the Curls and Charles Manson in Zeroville. Apparently a man of many talents, he’s also writing and directing a documentary, Ghost &n Goblin.
Venom, produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal, is set to open October 5, 2018. I’m sure there’ll be some more casting news.
