Warner Bros Unveils First Look At Michael B. Jordan In ‘Creed II’ | Film News

The wait is over Rocky fans. Warner Bros have released the first movie poster for Creed II, featuring a ripped and toned Michael B. Jordan as Apollo Creed‘s son Adonis.

The sequel to the 2015 box office hit Creed will center around Adonis and Viktor Drago’s big fight. Viktor is the son of Ivan Drago, the boxing champion, who killed Apollo Creed during a match, and who later got defeated by Rocky Balboa.

Given the intertwined plot that exploits Adonis Creed’ family ties, the main focus of the movie will most certainly be around Creed’s haunted past as he measures himself against the son of his biggest enemy. In this nostalgic jump into the past, Sylvester Stallone will reprise his role as mentor/former boxing legend Rocky Balboa while Dolph Lundgren will make a comeback as Russian deadly champion Ivan Drago.

After having seen the performances from the first movie, the premises for the much anticipated sequel are all here. Michael B Jordan, strong off his role as villain Erik Killmonger in Marvel Black Panther and who can next be seen as Guy Montag in the HBO TV adaptation of Fahrenheit 451, has already proved to be the real deal.

If the first Creed movie has established the Fruitvale Station actor as the right successor to the Rocky franchise, the sequel will further explore and give contest to its shiny star. With the trailer of the movie around the corner and the first poster picture just unveiled, November 21 can’t come soon enough for us to see Adonis Creed on the ring once again.
