Watch First Trailer For ‘Sicario’ Starring Emily Blunt | Film Trailer
Upcoming crime thriller Sicario, directed by the French-Canadian Denis Villeneuve and starring Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro has just released its first official trailer. Villeneuve was the auteur behind Jake Gyllenhaal thrillers Prisoners and Enemy, and the man behind the camera is quickly making a name for himself, particularly with flicks containing dark, thought-provoking mysteries. Brolin and Del Toro both have decorated acting careers but Blunt, the film’s protagonist, is rising up in Hollywood, as Villeneuve is, like a storm.
In Mexico, ‘sicario’ means hitman. In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent (Emily Blunt) is enlisted by an elite government task force official (Josh Brolin) to aid in the escalating war against drugs. Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past (Benicio Del Toro), the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive. The exciting, suspenseful and breathless-seeming Sicario is expecting a September 18 (United Kingdom) release date.
