The ‘Godfather of Grime’ has called upon an all-star line-up for his brand new single. Enlisting the help of Jamaican superstar Sean Paul, the UK’s female boss Stefflon Don and the legend that is Idris Elba, Wiley presents to us “Boasty“.
Fans should definitely be excited about his first cut of 2019. Co-produced by Toddla T and Rotterdam’s Mucky, it’s a future club burner with that subtle Caribbean essence which makes it easy for the featured artists to glide over.
The bass heavy track is the perfect playground for Wiley, Stefflon Don and Sean Paul, taking turns to deliver effortless, upbeat, bars. Surprising to some, Idris Elba gets a slice of the action – all using playful lyrics to be boastful about themselves and their status.
Wiley has released a string of singles since dropping Godfather 2 in April last year, which also saw Stefflon Don rise to worldwide prominence, topped with her second mixtape Secure in August. Meanwhile, the buzz has been heavy around Elba in recent weeks with the successful finale of BBC drama Luther and his place on the Coachella lineup confirmed.
