‘X-Files’ Fans Furious As Overrunning American Football Ruins Show Premiere | TV news
The return of X-Files has been big news for months, yet you wouldn’t know that when it came to US network Fox’s scheduling on Sunday night, with the NFC Championship Game – one of the most watched programmes of the year – overrunning by half an hour. Although that comes with the territory of sport, fans were irritated by the overrun. Salt was also rubbed into the wound as the network hardly promoted the premiere of the new show during the game coverage aside from snapshot promos that left veteran fans of the X-Files venting their frustration on Twitter.
The series continues tonight on Fox in the US, and will air on Channel 5 in the UK next month.
