Yemi Alade – Go Down | Music Video

Yemi Alade rounded up last year with her third album Black Magic. Now she shares the colorful visuals for “Go Down” – her latest single, taken from the deluxe version of the record. Produced by Philkeyz, the track is also included in Yemi’s EP Mama Africa.

The music video, directed by Paul Gambit, features Yemi and a group of dancers – no special effects or interesting scenario, just showing off their dance skills. And it totally fits the melodic track, especially bearing in mind that Afrobeats is now almost dominating the dance-floors, changing the regular ‘club music’.

Yemi Alade is currently one of the leading women in the Afrobeats scene. Her awards include MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Female 2015 and 2016, Kunde Awards for Best West African Act 2015, many more nominations and the title of the first African Female Afropop artist to reach over 82 million views on Youtube and VEVO – with her hit “Johnny“.
