Ex-Disney Channel star Zendaya has landed a role in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ reboot, starring alongside Tom Holland who will play the titular character. According to reports the character she will play is yet to be announced, but some suggest that it is not a leading role.
The announcement marks a major update to the upcoming superhero film, which has laid behind the scenes of other Marvel projects. The reboot will also mark another iteration of the web-slinger within the past 20 year, which last saw Andrew Garfield as the most recent actor to play the character.
Zendaya came into prominence starring on Disney Channel’s Shake it Up and has since established a successful music career.
