The young Brighton based soul-pop singer Celeste has recently unveiled a new lost single entitled “Not For Me“.
Early this year, the singer released her debut EP The Milk & The Honey through Lily Allen‘s label Bank Holiday, but after few weeks of delivering the record, Celeste discovered that this song was missing from the tracklist.
Indeed she explains: “‘Not For Me’ is a song about unrequited love and falling out of love with the city that I grew up in, London. When we were in studio my producers Tevn and JD Reid began to play around with guitar sounds and we wrote the song within a few hours. A few weeks later, when wrapping up the EP, we realised that ‘Not for Me’ was missing. After searching through files I gave up hope. Then a few weeks ago we found a version on an old drive and I wanted to get it out to the world straight away“.
Finally we have the chance to listen to this wonderful track below.
This soul artist after having completed a series of shows across the UK, is now looking forward to start performing in front of some new fans. Indeed, Celeste is ready to kick off her tour with indie band Skinny Living in the UK and in Europe, where she will be performing some unreleased tracks. Check out their tour dates below.
